The tutors

Madiha, SAT tutor

Madiha · SAT

Madiha has been teaching the SAT for 9 years. She graduated from École Polytechnique and scored in the 99th SAT percentile herself. Her lessons cover both Math and Reading & Writing in the current Digital SAT format.

She's particularly effective with students who already have a solid school foundation but need to close the gap to 1450 or above.

Umer, GRE & GMAT tutor

Umer · GRE & GMAT

Umer teaches GRE and GMAT with a focus on the analytical and quantitative sections. His background is in research, which shapes how he teaches pattern recognition and problem-solving strategy.

His students mostly target funded PhD programmes, top MBA schools (Wharton, INSEAD, HEC), and competitive Master's in Finance programmes.

Toby, GRE tutor

Toby · GRE

Toby has 11 years of experience teaching English and scored above the 99th percentile in the verbal sections of both the GRE and the GMAT.

He works best with students whose Verbal score is the bottleneck — particularly reading comprehension, argument logic, and vocabulary at the exam-grade level.

Sam, GMAT tutor

Sam · GMAT

Sam has 11 years of English teaching experience and a 99+ percentile verbal score on both the GRE and the GMAT.

On the GMAT, he focuses on Critical Reasoning and Reading Comprehension — the two question types that tend to hold verbal scores back most at the 685+ level.

Common questions

Common questions

Where is Boost Academy based and who can take lessons?

We're fully online — no physical campus. Lessons happen on Zoom or Google Meet, and we schedule sessions around your time zone. Students join from Europe, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, and the US. There's no location requirement.

How much does online SAT / GRE / GMAT tutoring cost?

An intensive coaching hour is €95. A diagnostic review session (results walkthrough + study plan) is €60. Packages of 10, 20, or 40 hours come at discounted rates. The first lesson after the diagnostic is free — no payment needed to get started. We accept EUR, GBP, and USD.

Is the diagnostic test really free?

Yes, completely. No account, no credit card. You get your score estimate and skill breakdown on screen immediately after finishing, and the full report comes by email.

Do you cover the Digital SAT and the GMAT Focus Edition?

Yes. The diagnostics and tutoring are aligned to the current versions: Digital SAT (Bluebook format, in use since 2023 internationally and 2024 in the US), the shorter GRE General Test (post-September 2023), and the GMAT Focus Edition with Data Insights.

How quickly can a student improve?

It depends on where you're starting and how much time you can put in each week. Students typically see a meaningful improvement in 4–6 weeks of focused work. Your tutor will give you a realistic estimate in the first lesson once they've seen your diagnostic results.

Can a parent join the first lesson?

Absolutely. The first lesson is a good time for parents to be there — it's when we go through the diagnostic results and map out the plan, so everyone's on the same page about timeline and target schools.
