Why Dubai professionals apply

The Dubai MBA applicant profile.

Dubai is home to a large pool of mid-career professionals applying to global business schools — finance, consulting, energy, real estate, family-business operators, and tech operators. The GMAT Focus Edition is the bottleneck most often cited in our intake calls.

M7 + Elite Europe

Harvard, Stanford GSB, Wharton, MIT Sloan, Booth, Columbia, Kellogg, INSEAD, LBS, HEC.

Typical Dubai admit: 705–745 GMAT Focus, 5+ years experience, sharp story.

Regional + EMBA

INSEAD Abu Dhabi MBA, Cambridge Judge, Oxford Saïd, ESSEC Singapore/Asia-Pacific, IE.

EMBAs weight experience over GMAT, but 665+ removes friction.

HEC MiM, ESSEC MiM, ESCP MiM, LBS MiM, LBS MFA, MIT MFin, IE MiM, Oxford MFE.

Typical: 685–715 GMAT Focus, 0–2 years experience, finance/consulting internships.

Frequent questions from Dubai MBA applicants

GMAT questions Dubai applicants ask first.

Do you tutor GMAT students based in Dubai?

Yes. Boost Academy is an online international academy and many of our GMAT students are based in Dubai, working in consulting (McKinsey, BCG, Bain, Strategy&), finance (HSBC, Citi, ENBD, Mashreq), energy (ENOC, ADNOC), and tech. Sessions run on Zoom or Google Meet at evening UAE time slots that work around the working day.

Where can I take the GMAT Focus in Dubai?

The GMAT Focus Edition is administered at Pearson VUE test centres in Dubai. The at-home (online) GMAT Focus is also available — requires a quiet room and a reliable webcam.

Is GMAT Focus required if I have a GRE score?

Most M7 and INSEAD/LBS/HEC programs accept both. Tutors help you choose based on your strengths: stronger verbal/RC → GRE often wins; stronger data interpretation → GMAT Focus often wins.

How long do Dubai working professionals usually need?

Typical timeline: 10–14 weeks at 5–8 hours of study per week (including tutored sessions and self-study) to lift from a 595 baseline to a 685+ target. The diagnostic produces a realistic per-week trajectory.

Can sessions happen after work hours?

Yes. We schedule sessions for Dubai students from 18:00 to 22:30 GST on weekdays, and on weekends. The tutor team's working hours include Dubai-friendly slots.
